How to Import an MP3-CD to an iPod® through iTunes®
Version (8.0.1)
|
1 Open iTunes. Go to Preferences... (for Windows click Edit and scroll to Preferences; on a Mac click iTunes in the menu bar and scroll to Preferences) Click the Advanced Tab.
2 Make sure that Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library has a check mark in the box. Click OK.
3 Insert an MP3-CD audiobook into your computers CD Drive. (The MP3-CD will not show in iTunes Source List like an audio CD would normally)
4 For Windows: In iTunes click on File, scroll to Add Folder to Library, click on the CD drive, click OK.
For Mac: In iTunes click on File, scroll to Add to Library. Browse to your CD drive. You will see many files, but only select the playlist.m3u file, usually found at the bottom of the list. Click Open.
This will start the transfer process of the MP3 files into iTunes. This will take several minutes; you can monitor the progress on the top of the iTunes window.
|
After this is done, follow the steps below to transfer these audiobook files to your iPod.
1 In iTunes click on File and scroll to New Playlist (or click the Add (+) button located on the bottom Left).
This will create a new untitled playlist in your iTunes Source List under Playlists. Name this untitled playlist the same as the title of the MP3-CD you have just imported.
2 Select Music, located on the upper left side under Library. (This will list all the music files in your iTunes Library)
3 Type the Title of your MP3-CD audiobook in the search box located in the upper right. This will list only the files associated with this specific title.
|
|
 |
|
4 Select all files for the title and Drag them to the Playlist you have just created.
Important Note: Verify all chapters are in the correct sequence. Some files may be listed out of order. To resolve this, highlight your playlist and drag the files to the correct order.
5 Connect your iPod to your computer. Your iPod icon appears in the Source List of iTunes.
6 Default iTunes settings will automatically sync your new playlist to your iPod. If you have changed your settings, you will have to Click and Drag your newly created Playlist to your iPod icon. This will start the transfer of your audiobook to your iPod. After this process is finished, eject your iPod and enjoy!

Suggestion for Transferring an MP3-CD to Windows Media® Player
|
1 You will first have to transfer files from the MP3-CD to your computer. Insert MP3-CD into your the CD drive. In the window that automatically pops up select Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer
2 Create a new folder on your desktop. Name this folder the title of the audiobook.
3 Select all the files with the extension .mp3 and drag them to the new folder you just created on your desktop.
4 Open Windows Media Player. Open the folder on the desktop with the transferred files. Select the files with an extension of .mp3 once more, only this time, drag them to the open Windows Media Player window. This will start the transfer of these files into the Windows Media Player program.
We Recommend: If you have software installed on your computer that came with your MP3-Player, insert the MP3-CD into your computers CD drive. When the automatic window pops up, select the installed program.
