We’ve been inundated with letters, phone calls, and emails requesting audiobooks on cassette. As most of you know, in the last year, audiobook publishers have transitioned from publishing on cassettes and compact discs to only publishing on compact discs or MP3-discs. And that has disappointed many of you who still want to listen to cassettes.
We are working with the audiobook publisher, Brilliance Audio, to be allowed to duplicate a cassette version of their titles currently only available on compact disc. This version will not be available in retail stores but will be created especially for you when you order. The price for the CASSETTE-ON-DEMAND audiobook will be the same as the retail price of the audiobook on compact disc. We will need up to a week to produce your cassette-on-demand title after you order it. Call us at 1-800-854-7859 to place an order.
For now, our plan involves most unabridged audiobooks published by Brilliance Audio only. If we can convince other audiobook publishers to allow us to provide this same service to you for their titles, we will! More about that in the months to come!
